Reason Number Two to Be Optimistic About the Chicago Bears

Mike Martz. Ron Turner really had no idea what to do with Jay Cutler.  It took him 15 weeks to finally realize that throwing the ball downfield was Cutler’s strength. While Cutler did not help Turner’s year with all of those picks, he is a much better quarterback when he is allowed to throw the ball downfield and create plays. Can we say that the Bears offense was offensive?

Sorry about my Turner rant. Martz is a great offensive mind. If you can get past his personality, then you have a guy that really knows his stuff. I believe he was the first choice all along, but the Bears wanted to make sure they dotted all the “i”s and crossed all the “t”s with the league. I should mention that Mike Tice will help as well.
